Stop picking couriers by brand. Pick them by lane.

The same courier that's brilliant on one route is terrible on another. Lane-level performance data beats reputation every time.

Courier quality isn't a single number. A carrier with a great national reputation can have a 78% first-attempt rate on a specific Tier-3 lane while a smaller player hits 94% there.

What actually predicts success

  • First-attempt delivery rate on the exact origin→destination lane
  • Performance by weight band and payment type (COD vs prepaid)
  • Historical RTO and NDR rates for that pincode

Make the decision explainable

A recommendation you can't interrogate is just pay-to-rank in disguise. Insist on seeing why a courier was suggested — lane performance and your own history — not a black box.
